Just about anyone remotely familiar with the crypto space would recognize tokens like $DOGE and $SHIB, but not all are familiar with the face behind it all - KABOSU. Now, while Kabosu has defied the odds, and is holding strong at 17, despite her recent diagnosis with Liver Disease and Leukemia, the fact is that she is still very sick and sadly will not be around forever.
As soon as the news broke of the recent diagnoses, the $KABOSU community was quickly formed.
The mission of $KABOSU is to carry on the memory of Kabosu, by emulating and spreading the cheer, love, good vibes, and the pay-it-forward attitude that Kabosu and Kabosu-Mama have always had, as much as we can.
The Dog That Started the Crypto Meme Culture
Atsuko went on to name the dog Kabosu, which means 'citrus' in Japanese, because she thought the roundness of this adorable dog's face reminded her of a 'citrus'.
Now while Kabosu has defied the odds and surpassed the regular lifespan of your average Shiba Inu, she has as of late been diagnosed with Leukemia and Liver Disease.
Kabosu and Kabosu-Mama are renowned for their generosity and pay-it-forward attitude. There are many occasions where they have used their fame to benefit the less fortunate.
